Japan: Day 8

Today was a bit of a rest day, if you want to call getting up at 6am and catching an early train to Shibuya for the sole purpose of getting to Don Quijote before Jonah crawled out of bed because we knew he would be bored silly in that place!

We're now in our final hotel in Japan, which means that now we can load up on goodies and not have to drag them anywhere but to the airport on Friday. So today was a big day for getting lots of cool stuff that we can't get back at home. Jonah took one look at our hotel room with our stuff spread out all over the place and doesn't believe that we'll get it all back. Trust me, we're getting it home! And I still intend on stuffing as many baked goods as possible in there too!

Speaking of baked goods...I don't know what the Japanese do to make their bread so fluffy and moist but their bread is simply perfection. Even the stuff at the combinis is to die for!!

When Jonah finally let me know that he was awake, we headed back to Fussa so we could hang out with him. We walked around his town, and I can see why he loves it so much! It's definitely not touristy, though with the Air Force Base right here they are used to foreigners walking around so we get less stares than other areas we've been to. We walked around for a while, then hit a local Izakaya (essentially a bar that serves real food) and then decided to part ways for the night because tomorrow we'll need an early start for Fuji-Q Highland!

Shibuya

This thing is amazing! It's a kind of a hot sweet bread with melted Mozzarella cheese
